The Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium™ (AVSC), a program of SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (SAE ITC®), is pleased to announce the first revision of the Best Practice for First Responder Interactions with Fleet-Managed Automated Driving System-Dedicated Vehicles (ADS-DVs). This document provides clarity around the type of key interactions ADS developers can expect with first responders and recommends a First Responder Interaction Plan before deploying their vehicles on public roads.
